95 needs a new clutch

From my dads opinion the clutch is going the clutch has over 100k miles on it. Any suggestions on what i should get?

unless youre turbo stick with the stock clutch, if you need one let me know i have a couple used ones with very low mileage.

a new one!!! ha! anything stage 2 and upwards may have driveability affects so do your homework! id stick with stock if you havent had a big power increase

if u are replacing the clutch u will need a new flywheel too because u cant resurface a dual mass . perfect time to do a lightweight flywheel . i bought my setup with a sachs clutch and fidanza flywheel from grip force for under 600$ . i have had it for almost 3 yrs and its worked flawless

Why would he need to resurface the flywheel if he's getting a stock clutch?

over time on a flywheel u get burn spots and small cracks etc . usually if u dont turn a flywheel when u install a new clutch u get chattering

Good to know. Thanks for everyone's help so far. Keep it comming. Right now from the sounds of it a new (stock clutch) and a flywheel should work. to be honest i dont know what kind of clutch is in the car my dad might have upgraded it when he used to race the car.

Oh, good to know I just got my flywheel resurfaced when I got my new clutch, I never had to get a new one on my 318is though.

are the flywheels in the 318's dual mass? its the dual mass flywheel that cant be resurfaced properly . if yours worked out then thats great

I just swapped out my clutch and flywheel last november with UUC's 8.5lb flywheel/e34 M5 clutch. It's great. It revs up so fast incomparison to before. Really handy at the local auto-x. It's cheaper than a new dual-mass flywheel/clutch combo from the dealership
