| To each their own in terms of modifying, but something to keep in mind is the cost of 18" wheels and tires (let alone 19s). There are plenty of great used sets of 17" BMW wheels out there with good tires available for a great price. If you went with new 18" wheels, you'd be stuck purchasing 18" tires as well. Not that big of a deal, but relative to the cost of the vehicle, I would keep it in mind. See nondescript's signature above for a good example of 17" BMW wheels that look great on an E36.

| Gas mileage? We dont need no stinkin' gas mileage! And just as a precaution, if thats a stock or near stock m3 with 19's and fresh rubber, spare yourself the sadness and replace all the components between your tranny and rear end(center bearing, guibo, etc). e36 m3 will be put to the test spinnin them big ass shoes around. Not to mention you will loose some of that e36 handling greatness. But as I've said before, to each his own!(and them M3 CSL wheels look tasty )

| Velocity Motoring CSL reps are avail in 18" as well in the same Silver and Hyper-Black. As for "spinning those bigass shoes around," the VB3s weigh in at about 24lbs for 8.5" and ~25lbs for 9.5". That's lighter than the stock 17" 330Ci wheels if I remember correctly.

| depends on the offset and tire setting... i suggest you do a test fit first before closing the deal...

| the diameter of the wheel is far less important than the offset and the tire size. many 18s will fit just fine.. personally, i prefer the look of 17s but the correct 18s will be just fine.
