| Cold Air Intakes for E36 What is the best CAI for the E36 that's not carbon fiber. I only have a short ram right now and would like to go full CAI. But everyone I've seen is carbon fiber, which jacks up the prices to $250+ for used. Carbon fiber is nice and all, but it justs jacks up the price on something that is going to be very rarely looked at and has no real mechanical benefit besides the like what .25lb weight save? If anyone knows any company that has a good setup (looking for the shape of a DINAN cai) please tell me...I really hope I don't have to make my own but if I need to, then I will. ![]()

| I just got an aFe dry CAI, and I must say, this thing is a work of art! By far the best engineered CIA for the E36. Got it off eBay for $175.00 shipped direct from the aFe factory. Seller's name was something like "Rino Bargoons" |

| This is the aFe eBay intake on a 1992 BMW 325is. As you can see, I had to modify it slightly to get it to fit. The orange box was in the way. Easy mod. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| i have been using AFE´s with the stock chip, and it was really good. I put Dinan chip last night MAN IT IS AWESOME!!! i cannt stop driving since. I just came home, becuase i need to sleep. AFE with the chip made a nice combination, it was worthy to pay 260$ for an M3 from www.namotorwerks.com
