| I think the us-specs radiator and engine components could take the euro's 321hp engine. I am not sure exactly about the stock dme, with the euro engine being so different. For a lot less money you could just get a us spec 3.2 with obd1 and a m50 manifold with cams, headers, and the euro hfm with a 3.4 cai maybe underdrive pullies and a lighflywheel, you would be putting down the same power. or pay about the same amount for a an AA c38 supercharger and you will making around 300rwhp.

| I know, but I really want the euro engine and from what I've read, even though peak horsepower would be the same, in the euro engine the power is in a more useable powerband. and its not a question of money, this is just a project i'd like to do someday.

| You don't have to "special order" any of these parts in the sense that they should be relatively easy to find. I would look for a more complete setup that can likely be had for less than what they are selling it for.

| Okay, thanks James. I was hoping you'd answer me, I don't see many of the old members around too much anymore.

| Do you know of any places that actually sell them? I'm assuming not, otherwise I'm sure you would've said in your post, but I figure it can't hurt to ask.

| I don't have the name off-hand, but if you are serious about doing it then I can find out the info. They have been importing euro swaps for at least ten years and are located relatively close to you.

| I am serious about doing it, just not now. I'm in school now, and while I could afford an e36 m3, I couldn't afford to also buy the S50B32 and swap it into the m3. This is something I was thinking about doing after I got out of school (about a year and a half away). I just wanted to do the research now to see how much it would cost and just to see exactly what was involved. I have a relative idea about price, but not so much as far as availability of parts goes, and which U.S. spec parts are compatable with which euro parts, etc. I'm sure I would get these questions answered faster if I called a shop that was familiar with the swap, but since I'm not planning on doing this for another year and a half or two, I don't feel they'd take me seriously.

| Hallo, if you want swap a Euro engine S50 B32, into a S52 B32M3 , you need sure the euro headers, the whole Cat and Reat exhaust sytem ,and a part of the Euro`s wiring they`re complete difficult. Also ist better to take a 6 speed gearbox with drive shaft. The CPU is also another . The Euro M3 is for performance the better Engine, completely another Character like the US M3 , Look at the Euros m3 Data Bore and stroke, cilinder single Throttle bodies. But you have to look much more to the valvespace, cause there solid valve caps, There`s much more time to to measure the spaces, if you have to adjust one of the valve spaces the whole cams must out of the Head. Also the sychronity of the single throttles are also not so comftable. The S52 B32 is better to service. Thats the reason i choose the s52 to swap in to my 328 i Touring ECE. The S52 is the basic block for the Alpina B3 3,2 l -3,3l -3,4L to max 304 Hp So I`ve got good base to drive a very long time with less cost for service and parts. All Euro M3 parts a very expensive here in germany. Look at the Ebay.de there many M3 parts , and there are Only EURO parts!!!, I ve hard to find a US M3 S52 engine there, the Joke is, Nobody know s in Germany something about this Perfect sleeper eingine.
