| there is already a beam leveling adjustment on all e36 fog lights. its the wierd angled long machine screw that is on the fog light housing. you can screw it in and out to adjust, and if you really wanted to you could put in a longer screw. You would want to unscrew it as much as possible to achieve what you described. and if you find it all the way out, and not good enough, then you can just put in a longer screw. the 5 series do have different projection diffusers in the fog lights, so to achieve a perfect straight beam, you would have to go custom somehow...or try to find an aftermarket that looks right.

| problem is, with that diagram, they dont label the screw. they sell it with the housing assembly. I would take a picture of mine, but i just got home from an early flight, there's about 6-8 inches of fresh snow around, I would have to jack up my car (lowered), and I would have to unpack my pack to get the camera. I'll post it in a couple of days. If i remember correctly, the screw is on the side of the housing that points away from the engine, and you can see it if you get behind the fog lights and look at them. I cant imagine them falling off your car unless you broke them in an accident or from road debris. I'll post back in a few days.
