cam or what? HELP NEEDED

Hi guys, how you all doing? Got a question need an answer. I drive a E36 1995 M3 German Spec, the problem is that. My car has a mind of its own when it comes to idleing, she will just sit under 1000 rpm where i think she should be, her performance good, but then all of a sudden she idles at 500 rpm, idleing like she has a heavy cam or something, performance WOW. What could this be, whenn on 1000 rpm she is mild but on 5oo rpm she is wild, why is this, could sumone explain, thanks.

could be hot cams.......or o2 sensor.......or plugs.....or fuel filter.....etc...etc.....

could be a lot of shit, maybe the cam position sensor, might have to do a VANOS solenoid removal. Is your car an smg? is it the euro s50 or s52?

Its not an smg. Its a 1995 E36 M3 German Spec 5 speed 3.0 litre.
Its just like a bat out of hell when she is at that low revs, so i dunno why im complaining lol. She is going in for a major service next month so i will ask my mechanic to see whats up and maybe have it idleing that low always haha. Its like two different cars, 950-1000 rpm an angel ; 500 rpm a devil. Its like she has a cam that switches on and off. Thanks for the help guys.

must be cam.....my car idles at 500 like a kitten...but im rockin the us engine too....

im also rocking a us engine and my car idles at 700rpms! weird...
