!! HELP !!

ok here is the deal i have been given a m3 engine with a fucked crank
and i have a 328
so i wanna know if i can some how put the top end of the m3 engine on the 2.8 or if i can get a 2.8 machined to fit the 3.0 so i basicly have a m3 engine
or should i just keep looking for the crank which seems impossible

is the M3 engine an S50 or S52?

and S52 has the same head as your motor.. and the cams would be the only upgrade

not sure will find that out but wouldnt the cams and throttle bodies be different

the cams are different. once you tell me what engine it is, then i can tell you what else is different.

ok i know its from a 94 m3 but will be seeing the engine on monday how do i tell if its a s50 or s52 whats the go of picking the difference when looking at it

ok.. i assumed you were in the US.. my bad.... you guys never got an S52.. just and S50B30, or an S50B32.. either of which PWN any US spec motor.

a 94 M3 would have the S50B30... and it's quite a bit more potent than what you have now.

so basicly i have a complete s50b30
but the problem is it has a fucked crank so what i was wanting to do was maybe put the top end off the m3 engine onto my block if that would be possible
or would i be better off getting a 2.8 lt engine machine to a 3 ltr os that it fits the top end of the m3 engine
or just hunting for an m3 bottom end (although this seems impossible)
