Bavarian Autosport Power Programmer good or bad? Is the Bavarian Autosport Power Programmer a good idea? I have a 1998 m3 vert and would like power. What do you guys think of this product and is there something better out there? thanks -Joe

Hey guys, I have a 96 M3 and also installed the Power Programmer on my car. If the graph that BavAuto shows are true gains, it's well worth the money. I also changed the air intake(afe) and muffler(B&B Tri-Flo) which gives it more kick and makes it sound more aggressive.

Here is the graph that bavauto shows for gains for the money($360), not bad. I've seen intake manifolds claiming 15hp that costs you over $1,000. I agree there are other ways to make hp but a what cost per hp? What do you mean by hard mods? I'm happy with the gains I have, but like most, still want more . Always open to new ideas.

I have a bunch of things done to my M3... ~ Cold Air Intake ~ Stromung Exhaust ~ Pulleys ~ S50 Manifold Once I put the program on, I noticed a difference. It pulled all the way until 7500 rpms...and not losing power. Now, I understand I may have more done to my car then others, but with my mods....it made a little bit of difference...and again, from what I actually paid for it, it was worth every shiny penny! ![]()
