Anyone know how to pull apart an Alternator?

Shiess.....I have a BMW tis program at home that would have it, just wont have my internet working till tomorrow evening. If you dont get it sorted out by then, ill bomb the info on to this thread, or e-mail you, your choice.

what do you want to get the alt apart.. its not really user serviceable?

At just wanted to pull the front housing off. It is so greasy and dirty from my supercharger blowing oil. It seems like at least some of it shoud come apart without removing the windings from the back.

typically the bearings in those things are quite sensitive.

if its not giving you an issue i would leave it be.. but thats just me.

Maybe a clean rag and a screwdriver to shove it in the tightness? Brake/contact cleaner? Shouldnt leave any residue. Crack it open if you dare, but like BadGTho said, I wouldnt fuck with it too terribly much....unless you have a spare
