| I have been a 95 M3 owner for a while, and I love e36 M3s. I lost my first one due to a ricer in a honda taking me out, and now I'm on my second one. Well anyways my girlfriend loves my car more than even I do. And her riced out Jetta is about to kick the bucket, it has more problems running than Michael Moore. I am looking for a 1995 M3, standard, in one of these colors (Blue, Black, or White). I know about the common problems with these cars and I'm on my second M3 right now, so I know how much they are worth market value. I'm offering 10k upfront for a good condition car. I need responses as quickly as possible and I've made this post an bimmerforums and bimmerfest also, so I'm looking all over. Only serious selling contact me, don't waste my time please if your car is garbage. I'm looking for cars around the VA, NC, MD area. contact me at 7577440208 (home) or 7572686828 (Cell) -Rich MPOW3R |

| I'm looking into getting an OBD 1 E36 M3 sometime next summer, I'll have roughly ten grand by then and so I am wondering whether I should save some more, or get a cheaper one with a decent engine/body, and fix whatever may be wrong with it. Any suggestions |

| Spend the extra money now for a lower mileage car in good shape and save yourself the headaches of fixing one yourself. Parts for these car's aren't cheap and unless your planning on doing the work yourself finding a dependable and skilled tech to do the work for you will be expensive as well. Hope this helps. |

| I know these cars parts are expensive, if you buy them from a stealer-ship. I buy all my parts online and do all the work myself. I'm on my 2nd e36 M3, and the first one had several problems I was able to fix, one at a time for a couple hundred bucks. 10k for a 95 is not unreasonable. |

| Yea, 10K will get you a M3 that needs 4K worth of work to make it a "good condition" M3. I have a friend who just got a 95 M, paid more than 10K and just finished putting at least 2K in the first 4 months of ownership. there is still work to be done. |

| :::soapbox for a minute::: one thing that really pisses me off is the flase idea that somehow a 95 M3 is a tuner special capable of being modded to the Nth degree or somehting. this is the year 2007. its time for people to realize that OBDII is the way and there is nothing lost by going OBDII. to further that... in the BMW world, the 95 M3.. though endearing to many.. is far from superior... in fact it has more proven mechanical deficiencies than the 96-99 cars.

| Mechanical deficiencies such as? some more questions: Besides the OBD I is there anything more advantageous about having a '95...? what about doing a conversion on the s52 to run it in an OBDI car? If I don't get a '95, what is the best model year of e36 m3? I've had bad luck with '96 OBDII vehicles as of late. |

i very much agree. seems sometimes the 95 m3 seems like a good idea because its cheaper to get more HP...

| Yea...I know you were...I typed it backwards. OBDII to OBDI is possible...Or so I hear...Never seen it in person. However, the car will never pass emissions tests. I've only heard of it done on dedicated track cars back in the day.
