| Lost control on some sand and ice around a corner at the apex of a sweeping right hander. Rear end came around so fast that I did not have a chance to try and correct it. Stayed on the gas in an attempt to drift out of it but no chance at all. Tires grabbed after the car made a 45 degree rotation to the right and I shot straight into a thicket of 3-5 inch trees. Felt like I was in a tank, all I could see is the front bumper plowing trees as I went verticle. As the nose launched off the 3ft. embankment it hit the ditch at an angle, which runs parallel to the road. It sent me in a cartwheel motion resulting in a full verticle 180. As I hit, the rear windhield shattered from the momentum followed by a sudden stop. The glass fell straignt down onto the back of my head. Once I came to a stop, I was in a minor state of shock, and kept telling myself it was only going to need a new hood and a front bumper. So I open the door, the courtesy lamps illuminate and when I shut the door they went out. Took me a minute to realise that I was standing in a 2 foot deep mud puddle, but I walked away as the police arrived. He said that it looked so bad, he didnt think there was anyway that I was the driver and that I was the one who had reported hearing an accident, Anyways, the M3 saved my life too, so I bought a clone of the one I had that is in better shape.
How did you fix the links? thanks by the way. |
