Alcantara/Suede Steering Wheel

does anyone know where i could get a Alcantara/Suede Steering Wheel for an e36 m3? thanks.

the short answer is yes/no.

i have heard of peoplee getting the E46 wheel and seen a thread on it... its way easier if you dont want the airbag to function.... the downside will be cost.


the other alternative would bee to geet your wheel re-wrapped in alcantra... there are a few places online that sell kits, or i am sure that a local upholsterer would do it.

this would obviously be better on the 98.5-99 3 spoke wheel.

BTW the alcantra geets gross from sweaty hands

M3 GT's came with alcantara steering wheels if I recall.

Another option is an aftermarket steering wheel. You'll probably need an adapter to fit the BMW steering column. Turner Motorsport lists 2 on their page for example.

do they have an airbag? check realoem... but i am near positive that no airbag wheel was alcantra

I agree with BadGTho it's not worth it unless you are going to drive with gloves on all the time.

Yep that's right. The GT came with an alcantara steering wheel, but no air bag.

Nope, my M3 GT (#195) had a leather 3-spoke wheel. Also had an airbag (small).
