Vader vs. 99 sharked M3 (videos)

Just to finally have a comparo, we've got a couple of videos up comparing a 95 3.0L turbo'd M3 vs. a 3.2L M3 with JC Chip/Intake (~220rwHP). Keep in mind the 99 3.2L M3 did pretty damn well when I tested an E46 M3 convertible against it a while ago (3rd thru 4th gear run; only was 1-1.5 car lengths behind).

i got some footage (with vinces camera) of you racing him (E46 steel grey M3) but he lost the memory stick

and i thought he did pretty well.....and i love your car!!!!! its sooo badass...
P.S. maybe sometime would you mind putting some ricers in thier place and showing them the power of ///M for me?

Haha, yes I remember. Thanks for the compliments by the way. Yeah in that little run I recall completely losing traction in first and second gear, and I usually don't. My fault though, I took off with way too much rpm (not used to beach weather/altitude,

). By the looks of it I don't think your friend got a great launch either, or he would have torn me a new one up until 35mph. But E46s are great cars; I've driven a few and they're all very very impressive. Truly the best normally-aspirated 6cyl out there.

As far as for your 'ricer' question, I only had a run with a turbocharged civic the first weekend I had the car with the turbo on it. I think I really surprised him because you could tell he was picking on me as if to say, "I'll woop an M3's ass anyday"...anyways, I really left him in the dust. He had the loudest turbo I've heard to date, and it was fast--I honestly think slightly faster than what my previous 250rwHP cam setup would have done, or close to it. To be honest with you, I've been having more fun against motorcycles than anything else,

yeah he was sorta spinning his tires in first (he got a little anxious)....then he switched to second and they chirped and squeeled for awhile......i almost crapped my pants

cutting and pasting the addresses has been working for me, as long as the videos haven't been downloaded too many times. The link itself apparently doesn't work, at least on my comp.
