Need another key how can i get one

When i picked up my 95 M3 last week it only came with one key. And I dont even think its the master key. Can I order a new one from BMW or something?? Is the trunk suppose to unlock when i unlock the doors or do you have to open the trunk with the key.
Thanks
-Jeremye

the trunk should unlock with everything else when using the clicker... not sure about the key but pretty sure of that as well..

As for the new key go to the dealer give them your key and information, and they have to send away for a new key... pain in the butt.

If you are looking for just a spare, go to a key smith or whatever, and they can reproduce the key for like $50. Most of the time it is less.

As far as the locking system goes, you have a central locking. If you unlock any door or trunk, it unlocks all the doors and trunk, provided your car isn't in deadbolt mode, which in that way you are screwed...ask me how I know. All the keys provided do this, except new you had one key that was plastic that ONLY worked in the ignition.

getting a new key from the dealer takes 2 days. i had my master key replaced last week--- i went in on monday and they had it on wednesday. just take your license and registration and they'll have it cut pretty quick and coded to the car for you.

the master key without a light is $50 from the dealer, so go ahead and get them to do it, they'll have the codes....haha that plastic ignition key only works about 5 times also...
