4 or 6 bolt flange in '94 325i (differential)

I've got a line on a 3.38 - trying to find out which flange is in my car ('94 325i) - anyone know off hand? Will this be different than the one on the 3.38? If so, what is required to make the 3.38 fit?

I just put the same diff in mine last week. Its real easy, all you have to do is slide the flanges out of yours and put them in the new diff. All they need is a bump from a mallet to get them to slide out. You can also save some time by just loosening the sway bar instead of taking it out. It will push up just enough to slide the diff out from under it. You will also need torx sockets for the flange bolts.

You have a 4-bolt flange (input) on your 325. The 3.38 will bolt right up.

boost-inside is talking about OUTPUT flanges, which can be popped right off the sides of the diff easily.
