| 1986 BMW 325es --> Cheap! Hey all, Well, I'm selling the 325es. Just picked it up actually, but decided that I can't afford what it's going to cost me to fix it. It's got 167,000 miles on it, new Yokohama AVS100 tires, and new belts. The body of the car is in perfect shape, no rust or dents. The interior is also pretty clean, although the front seats are cracked from their age. The car is red with black leather interior. Here's a pretty bad pic, but you get the idea. ![]() Things I know are wrong with it (and have been verified by a local BMW autosport shop): Power Steering rack leaks. The pump is disconnected so it's kind of a "non-issue" at this point, but the rack needs replaced. Tachometer/temp gauge/fuel economy gauge do not work. Oil leak from the pan, sending unit, and supposedly a little from the head gasket. A few minor exhaust leaks. --- Overall the car runs great. I've just decided that rather than dumping the supposed $7k to get the car where I want it to be, I'm going to just look into other options. Maybe buy something a little newer. It would be a great car for someone who wants to do their own work and wants a nice solid chassis to start with. I'm looking for $1200/obo. I'm in Wayzata, MN. If you have any questions, let me know. I can also get pics of whatever you want. Thanks for the space |
