Question Coolant capacity for E36

Upon flushing out all the old coolant, how much fluid do I put back in? Is it 3 gallons?

1.5 coolant + 1.5 distill water?

I put in the same amount about 2.25 gallons..last week. Also a little Redline Water Wetter.
