I think you mean an e55??? If so, he should be able to beat a stock 95 m3. Those AMGs are fast as hell. I'd still take an m over it anyday though

e36??

maybe c36?

the only c classes to my knowledge that are amg'ed up are c32, c36 and their was a c42 or c43..sometin like dat.

e36? never heard heard of.

stock m3 should take any of those c classes( to my knowledge..)...except for the new 2002 c32 which is extremely fast.

e55amg is a bit faster than an m3 too.

Light to Light, you will take him with nice driving. But on the beltway, it may be close, depending on how fast you guys go and from what mph, c32 AMG's are fast. People say they are women's car, but get those on the freeway and they fly like you won't believe. I'm still kinda confused on what kind of AMG, but if it is an AMG...from a light you will take him. Freeway....whole different story...but I still think you can take him on the freeway too.

Good Luck man and let us know what happens. Pe@ce.

To make certain you'll beat em', make it a point to find a patch w/some twists.

Those AMG's are great and very comparable to you in a straight line (and does have more torque) but in the twists, he won't be able to hang on (literally)!

Think their lateral is in the low .80's; .

he is talking about an amg c36. there was also an amg c43 in the old c-class body style. the c36's were older and had a little less power, but were still plenty fast. it will give you a great run. may even beat you. depends on you as a driver. if you can drive well i'd say you can beat him, but the bigger engined c43 would be a little tougher. good luck.

C36 AMG: 276hp, 284lb/ft, 3550lbs, 0-60 in 5.9seconds

E36 M3: 240hp, 225lb/ft, 3232lbs, 0-60 in 5.5seconds

Two cars, both straight-six engines, both tuned for highway speed. If you drive it right, the M3 should have no problem taking the C36. If you bog the motor down on takeoff, you'll watch his tailights fade into the distance (torque converters do have some purpose).

I can help you here. I beat my friend in his C36 when my M3 was bone stock.

You would smoke it.

A 95 M3 would easily beat a C36 from the line and I'm pretty sure the M3 would win at highway speeds. Its true the AMG has good high-end pickup but the M3 should still pull away.
