Arctic silver isn't all that rare - see for example my car at: EABJR - BMW and Audi Experiences - 328iC, 528e, and S5 -ChipB

Under the hood, it sais that is is arktisgrau-metallic. And it gives the number which when i looked it up it told me it was arctic silver. When you think about it, you'd think "grau" would mean gray. And i guess it does cause I just looked at the original bill of sale and the car is actually arctic gray. I must have gotten the two mixed up in some point in time. Is Arctic Gray a rare color? ha

On my car the plaque on the shock tower says "arctissilber - metallic," and gives paint code number 309/7. Not sure how rare arctic gray is - I do know it was not offered in '97. Available choices that year were as follows (per my sales brochure): Standard Colors: 300 Alpine White 314 Bright Red 668 Jet Black Metallic Colors: 309 Arctic Silver 295 Samoa Blue 288 Morea Green 275 Boston Green 297 Montreal Blue 252 Calypso Red
