(i mean the easy modifications coz engine swap and turbo charging isn't hard to figure)

with this mods i gain 40 hp out of my 323 and now it has 210hp instead of 170...
it was way easy and cheap and i think 40 hp makes some difference dont you?...after this increase car is rolling 255kmh in 5th gear and become 325,328 killa !!!

this are the basic mods for ANY car in a world so think before say something ok man...
i didnt mean the mods didnt make sense. you said it weird and 323s have inline 6 having those mods add more hp than if you put them on a 318. he would probably get about 25hp which would bring him up to what 160 thats not really much and hed still get beat by most everyones civic

210 at the crank right? The main reason you can get a lot out of a 323 with just bolt ons is because it's a dumbed down 2.5. You can get 210 @ the crank from a 325 easy. You don't gain much from bolt ons on the m44. I'd say somewhere from 10-15 whp.

Someone one on bimmerforums dynoed a 318 with a Dinan chip exhaust and TB and put down a whopping 125 whp from. Not sure if it was an m44 or 42. Actually not too bad considering stock would be about 115, but that sucks for the guy that dropped over $1500 on Dinan crap. You can do the same thing for about $400 or less if can find used software.

it would be cheaper to turbo you 318 and you would have more power than the stock m3 engine would give you

why is this not more common on an e36? I am a visual guy, know all about visual mods, but when it comes to engine work I am a noob and am trying to learn......I have been looking into Nitrous on my car but can't find any good threads whether or not it is too harsh on my car or not......I was actually looking into a Zex wet 50 shot

Any advice? And please dont think I am trying to hack this thread and take focus off the other guy.....so please excuse me for my interjection....

honestly, i hate to say it, but a lot of bmw owners are really proud of the power the engine makes and/or is capable of making N/A. to use turbos and nitrous are cool, but its cheating in a way. plus, management systems aren't terrible easy on these cars for that kind of mapping without custom tunes. i wouldn't think so anyway, and they're usually pretty high compression engines.

I just found some guy on ebay. He rebuilds M3 e36 engines with a supercharger and outfits them for 3 series cars......3k

Hey every one...this summer i purchased a 1998 318i sedan for only $4.400, it currently has 173000 miles on it, and i was just wanting to see if any one knows a couple of ways to get a little more power out of her...the car is in excellent condition and runs like a dream, but Ive raced a couple of my friends and lost...so if any one knows any cost effective ways to get some more power i would appreciate it.
