I think those colorado's are 220hp my dad has one and yea they def have some torque to them. I don't know much about the 318's but i'd look into a cold air intake maybe exhasut and some software to start out.

make sure you only do it to the legal limit. cops in my neck of the woods will tell you to rip it off. otherwise go to a bmw dealership and have them tint it. that is pretty much the only way to bypass the tint limit.

put a dinian chip in aswell. and change the ignition coils and wires along with spark plugs.. i did that for a unbelievable 54hp

sell it, buy a 325 or 328, then youll be able to add some power unless you have the money for a downing atlanta supercharger

or keep it stock and at least make it look like it's fast ha !

Yo i got a 318i also and when it comes to racing dont try to beat out your car on it. because mine also has 140 and but it couldnt beat many cars only the real slow ones....still your car looks nice. an exhaust like Remus and cold air intake system like K&N would be good for a little more power. and if you put a turbo then its gunna prob mess up ur engine since u got 170,000 on it

I don't know if they make aftermarket cams for 318s but those help a lot and even a lighter flywheel, I guess the regular bolt on stuff should get you some power

If you really want more power save your money and do a swap or just by a 325/328/M3. I had a friend with a pretty fully modded 318 and I would still walk away from him with my stock 323. If you want more noise to make it sound like its faster then get a CAI/Exhaust but don't expect it to be any faster.

The only thing somewhat worth doing on a 318 is software and used exhaust. Don't expect much though. I purchased an oem 325 catback for $20 and welded a Y pipe to it. It didn't sound that great, but it was cheap and flowed better than stock. Other than that I'd just sell the 318 and get a 328. I found a few for less than $4k.

the guy just bought the car, I doubt he wants to get rid of it strictly based on performance. We should share with him all the info we have to help his current car. exhaust, intake, performance chip, headers, and the best one of all... PRACTICE

i really like the car ill probably do some stuff to it to kinda make it a good lookin cruzin/ pussy getin car car , tint the windows, maybe some motegi 7 or 10 spoke wheels like the ones that come on the 07 Cadillac cts V, and dvd in dash...then ill save my money and either buy a 328 or an m3...but being only 18 yrs old insurance on an m3 would be all kinds of high and one of those will be somethin i race with...and thanks for all the help...i325 is exactly right.
