Few 94 325i questions

Hi,

I recently purchased a 1994 325i with the vanos engine and the cast iron block. Its all stock and an auto

Im happy with it. It has one little problem when you first start it and reverse the front brakes make a loud squealing noise. It only happens when you first reverse and the pads have a fair age on them.

I really wanted a manual, and where I am bmw are so hard to find. Its a really nice car with 170k/km on the clock. What sort of price would I be looking at to get a maunal setup put in it.

What other mods can I do to make the engine go a little better.
