| im having the same trouble with my brothers 528i and i am in the middle of trying to fix it..the metal hook when attatched to the door handle wont pull itself forward enough to unlock itself.is there anything else that could be wrong?.thanks |

| it could be where the rod connects to the actual lever which activates the locking mechanism that is loose or it's been pulled really hard several times and the joints may have stretched, the sources that i have (tis and ETK) both show slightly different locking systems from a 325 to a 528 so i really can't be that certain. but that 's my best guess
