Loose door lever

Like the title says my drivers door lever (the one you pull to open the door from the inside) is loose as it does not go back into place after you pull on it to open the door. any idea's i'm thinking a loose spring or something like that but any body have this problem before? i pulling my door paneling off on the weekend.

It is a little tough to get your hand up in there to work on the handle, so hopefully it will be a simple matter of a bolt that needs tightening.

If you need pointers on the door panel -

it could be where the rod connects to the actual lever which activates the locking mechanism that is loose or it's been pulled really hard several times and the joints may have stretched, the sources that i have (tis and ETK) both show slightly different locking systems from a 325 to a 528 so i really can't be that certain. but that 's my best guess

You may want to follow up with some aerosol Chain and Cable Lube or white lithium. The WD 40 won't last very long.

WD40 is a degreaser so its the wrong type of lube.
