| DIY - Shadow Grills Yep so this weekend i was bored and felt like playing with my car, always wanted the shadow (blackout grill as some people say) but didn't feel like the 80$ was worth it for the black plastic when i could easily paint my own for 9.46 plus tax. so i took out the old chrome ones, cleaned them with soap and water then with 99% ethyl alcohol to get rid of any unwanted residue. then i sanded them down with 400 and them 800 grit paper to ruff up them up. then i cleaned them again with compressed air and then the alcohol to get every last grain of plastic out. i bought Dupli color bumper coating as my choice of plastic paint because of the excellent adhesion that it had boasted and it was designed to coat bumpers so i figured it was the best choice. i then sprayed three nice coats letting them dry about 5 minuets between coats, then ended up really nice i'd say professional the paint is really nice dark black color that i really like and it matches the car perfectly. anyway enough of me talking here are some pic's to see

| looks good man, is that paint more of a flat black or satin/matte black? i bought an extra set of grills from someone who had painted them black and they are more of a flat black and i was debating on repainting them more of a gloss black but i wasn't sure which would look better? anyway looks good
