| Hi all, My stock shocks are on their death bed and I'm looking at replacing them with either Bilstein sports or sprint or Koni Yellows. I'm currently running red H&R lowering springs (I think their Race) on my 323i. I don't plan to track the car much but I still want to improve handling and reduce body roll whilst still having some ride quality. Appreciate any advice... Thanks, |

| I am going to vote for the Bilstein. I ran the sports on my E36 323is and loved them. I think they offer a better ride quality being monotubes also. Plus I am pretty sure they are designed to be run with H&R springs. At least thats what guys at Turner Motorsports told me when I ran them with Eibach springs instead.

| I have Bilstein's on my 318i with h&r sport springs and while they are supposed to match; it is a bouncy ride... more honda ricer than I'd expect on a BMW. Feels great on smooth roads, but not very good on somewhat rough pavement. Not horrible; but no where near as nice as the Koni SA's I have on the M3.

| Thanks guys, I was leaning towards koni's but someone offered me a really good price on the bilstein sport's. But the adjustability is a big plus for the yellows even though I'd be running them on the softest setting apparently they come with a lifetime warranty. |

| Fair enough. nondescript how long have you had you koni's for? Everybody I know with Koni's has had to have them rebuilt after a couple of years.

| 4 years... But the car is a weekend autoX and sunny weather only type car, so it doesn't see that many miles... But the ones it does see count. ![]()
