Most likely exhaust diameters would be different for the mufflers, and the pipes itself I wouldnt see fitting without huge modification. Not worth the trouble.

I don't think so because the E36 has a wheel well for the spare. Thats why the E46 M3 doesn't have a spare tire so the exhaust well fit.

If soley for looks, one of those chain muffler shops can probably handle making something. Performance wise, it's a waste and dead weight. That's why even E46 systems are (mostly) actually fake duals with aftermarket systems.

Agreed. I will say it again and again, a dual exhaust setup is not ideal on a inline motor. For looks sure, but I personally dont even care for them looks wise lol. Single are lighter, and much more functional on a inline motor. I DO KNOW THERE ARE 2 COLLECTERS, yes lol. But unless we are talking about a V motor, it is a waste of time. Or a boxer, seeing how subies and such have 2 blocks, it wouldnt really be the most ideal, it would be more efficent than a dual on a bimmer I motor.
