Although you will most likely just argue with me, I will say what the hell anyhow. Depending on your goals, the GT35R or GT40R would be a great match to a 6 cylinder. Having personally known the 4g63 dual cam 4 cylinder will spool a GT35R with a smim, fmic, and cams at around 4400 for 26psi, a inline 6 with a good cam setup should do it at 4k. The power would be damn nice, and the torque linear. If you decided to go with a GT40R, spoolup would likely be 4700-5000 and feel like a freight train. A 35R would rip all four tires on my other car, so it should be interesting to say the least. If you dont mine me asking, what exactly are your support mods to push a SC61?

Ummmm. That compression seems awful high for a turbocharged application. I could be wrong, just seems outta place on a turbo setup.
Anyhow I was pushing 26psi because I wanted power lol. Why else? I was doing some drag racing (was in a TSi AWD) and had the support mods. If I would have had some real tires for traction, a trans that would allow me to not lift, and a real 2 step, easy 10 second TSi. I could have pushed more boost, but didnt want to risk damaging the 3 bolt rear end.
Anyhow, setup sounds real nice. I just have a hard time coping with that compression ratio.

That compressionis more then solid for the setup, if i were driving a pump gas car that didnt have any bottom end work it would be crazy high. my e36 iis good for 11.68's all day long on drag radial and im only at 87% duty cycle.

Oh and the reason i cchoose such a high cp ratio is because i did not want to run my car at 90-99% duty cycle to achieve such high hp numbers, bmw motors are limited in expansion without building a crazy all out motor, this started out as a street car but i run 103 octane in it so i dont drive it to work everyday

I am not trying to be a dick to you in particular but its crazy how people think they can shortcut there way and get the same respect as people who actually work on there cars, if i could do my e36 alll over again it would look like a stock e36 on the outside with a front lip but no reason to tear it all apart. im tired of the bs that people go through when they have a nice car because a few people put 6 inch widebody kits on there stock 318i and call it fast

Trance, for once, I agree lol. I dont try to be a dick to you either, but sometimes things get out of hand lol. I like a factory looking E36 with tasteful modifications. As for the CR I understand why it is so high now. You do not drive it on the road. It probably has a shit load of torque with a CR like that. 11.68 is a nice time. What E36 you pushing? A 356/8, or M.

Great question, how much for the turbo. And what did you ever decide to put on anyway.

im thinkin of a similar setup to your first but i cant afford it jus now... maybe add another 70hp ontop :P nice car anyway. imagin that engine in a 316 compact :P add motron suspension and brembos and u'd have a pretty extreme track car... ahh the possibilities and the dreams if only...
