| Short shifter advice.. Hey guys! I just bought my E36 318is just over a month ago and I'm looking to get a short shifter installed. Just after some advice on any good brands? I'm on a pretty tight budget here so any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.. |

| I would recommend switching out just the shift lever. Install a z3 shift lever and it reduces throw a good 20-30%. I could definitely tell a difference, I like it a lot. Not too notchy but much shorter than it used to be. Let me know if you're interested, I can find the write up..... ( think it was on understeer.com but i could be wrong) oh yeah and its only $65 as compared to some $200 setups that also take another 2 hours to install

| ohhh.. Thanks for the replies guys! I appreciate Ur help! btw, i was on that website and i kinda figured it was US based..? Would U happen to know if they ship overseas seeing as I'm in Australia? |

| Most places will. The guy who owns/runs understeer actually floats around on this forum sometimes, though i havent seen him in a while. but you can also just buy the z3 shifter from a dealership. same price, sometimes quicker to get a hold of.

| Since you are in New York, I would contact . . . Rogue Engineering . . .. If you don't want to spend the money, get a z3 shifter.
