| Need help with 1 wire for my engine swap....
I am swapping an M50 from a 93 325IS into a 92 318I. I've traced all the wiring on the body harness of the 318I AND 325IS, all wires are the same color and spot on the plug. The only difference is that pin #7 on the 325IS body harness has a black/ purple wire that is supposed to go to the anti-theft system, which the 318I doesn't have. Does anyone know if this will cause any problems if it is not hooked up... will the car start and run? Does the engine computer receive a signal of some sort that allows it to work? If it needs to be hooked up is there a way to by pass the anti-theft system? |
