Welcome to Oz. Just payed 10 grand for my 318is and that was around 2.5k below the average price for a 94/95 model.

the immunology exam sucked. The AIDS genome/proteins part was easy, but the real killer was the CD4+ T-cell Th1/Th2 responses, the cytokines directing them, etc etc... It's not as rough as human physiology and comparative endocrinology. Glad to be graduating in May... woot woot

When you switch to a newer BMW and miss the simplicities of your e36.. even if she gave you problems now and again..

i know its semi OT, but i pretty much would turn down purchasing any new BMW, except the Mz4 roadster.... no active steering, no active suspension, the M-gruppe said no to pretty much all the pointless sh*t that BMW has been putting on their cars. No SMG either. Only transmission option is a 6-spd stick. Thank god. If you can't drive the car, then dont buy it
Too bad I can't stand the nose on the Z4. I may have to learn to love it.

The new m5 is amazing... I just don't like some of the over the top accessories offered. My new e90 is a blast, just not as raw as my e36. That was a track car that was still street legal. But luckily fo rme I just bought an e30 and I'm in the process of stripping it.. I'll have a thread about it soon..

Aus second hand car market is a joke. A 97 M3 goes for around 40-50k to give you an idea. A 93/94 318i is around 8-11k

when you hit 55 mph on the local high school track complex
when you hit 150mph on the freeway
when you roll your loud ass friend and his wrx, 350 z, h22 swapped civic hatch...
when you spend the whole day detailing your car
when you look in the garage and smile
when your tires go bald as soon as you buy them
when you look forward to driving on the weekend instead of getting drunk
when you think your car has feelings
when the vaders fit like a broken in baseball glove
when the car you drive feels like an extension of yourself

I liked the looks of the car from the beginning. The only form of auto I will ever drive will be SMG but even at that I'd rather have a manual. I miss my e36 but I will have another one soon. e36's are still the best track car around so, my next one with be a high mileage m3 that will be built specifically for the track. Right now I have an e30 that I'm doing the same to. I'll post some pictures of the e90 once my wheels are in.
