Bigger brakes....e46 or e36 M3

I am hearing from a lot of my friends that they are installing e46 330i brakes onto their e36... and that they are even bigger than the e36 m3 brakes. Has anyone tried this yet? I need big brakes, please dont tell me to try racing pads on the stock brakes... because I want the big rotors for show too (not just braking from 140). Any help will be appreciated.

1999 E46 328 Calipers and Rotors fit straight onto the E36 with no modification at all, E46 330i can be fitted but are a pain in the ass your probably better off using M3 brakes even though the 330 are bigger in diameter the M3 are wider and work better also the rears wont fit, the 330 uses different caliper, carrier, and rotor.

M52 POWER from bimmerforums did the 330 conversion on his e36...i think he's got a DIY somewhere

Everything bolts up e46 330ci to e36, but you have to use rotors and calipers. In the rear i swaped the arms too, because they are beefier. If you don't swap the whole assembly,(arms)you have to swap the dust shields or trim them so the bigger diameter rotor will not rub. The e46 rotors are actually thicker too!

I think with the way the 330 rotors look on the E36, it'd be a blow for the entire BBK manufacturers with their astronomical prices....I'm doing it myself since my front rotors are almost gone! OEM prices < BBK prices..
