potentially stupid question...

here's the thing...

A few months ago, I bought an OEM m-technic front bumper for my car (325i)
I didn't get a chance to install it this past summer do to the surgery I had so I've been thinking of maybe just saving up and getting a newer model. My question is, say I bought a 93+ sedan, will the bumper still fit? I know it might be a no brainer for some but I'd rather be safe the sorry :x

I went to this scrap yard when shopping for an M3 front bumper. I found one off a 4-door E36, but the guy told me it wouldn't fit the coupe!

i'm almost positive that the bumper is interchangeable for all E36s and i'm sure someone will confirm this soon enough

the coupe and sedan bumper covers are NOT interchangeable. If you look up the width of these 2 cars you will see why. Coupe is about 1.5 inches wider and the bumpers are built to suit. Overall the coupe is wider and lower. If you research body kits you will often see that a company asks you to specify between coupe and sedan for this reason.

The answer to the original question is yes, it will fit on any e36 4-door chassis, from 1991 to 1999.
