Angel eye wiring help!!

Hi peeps. Has anyone ever fitted angel eye units before? the full unit not the conversion kit. I have just purchase a set of sonar generation 3 angel eyes headlamps and there are 2 sets of red and black wires coming off each unit. these are for the angel eye halo effect but i`m not sure where to wire them up. Do i just connect the 2 sets of wires off each lamp and connect them to the single sidelight connection from the stock lamps? Any help would be great. Thanks..

Question Same problem...

Bought a 96 328i - and now some Sonar eagle eyes.

THREE sets of wiring (red/black) leading from them. Two sets for the rings - one set for some diods, I think...

How would you connect those??

THX in advance

yeah the 2 blacks go to the negative wire on the sidelight circuit and the 2 reds to the positive!!! simple.....dont worry about putting 2 wires to 1 coz angels actually use alot less power than normal sidelights

THX!

Think I got the picture

What would you do with the last set - going to the diods? Putting them to the fog-lamps? The two diods are placed in the middle/low...

Between the 'blinker' and the first 'eye' is a socket for a lamp? What is the purpose? It's connected/wired to another lamp....

Attached some pictures...

I have the same lights accept black instead of chrome background.
The socket between the blinker and first ring is for a parking light.
I still haven't decided if my rings are going to be wired to go on and off with my interior lights or parkers. The two useless LEDs on the other hand will be wired into the parkers because they don't seem much good for anything else.

I bought mine off ebay for $299 AUD. I'm pretty happy with how they fit, I had a tittle trouble getting them in because of the indicator part not being detachable like the oem ones. I will get a picture for you this afternoon. I dunno if it just me but the connectors don't lock properly which I'm not real impressed about as it has lead to me losing my high beams.

Pictures are here: VMZ001 (sorry I was too lazy to resize and embed them).
Afternoon kinda turned into night, If you would like daytime pics or if you want pictures from certain angles etc just ask and I'd be happy to go take some more.

I still haven't wired my angel eyes or down pointers because I'm still not happy with the connector not locking... I'm considering cleaning up my oems and putting angel eyes inside but I'm not sure yet.

angel

Mate I also have these lights and had a real hard time adjusting them on the passenger side lights so that they werent tree spotting.

I am living with them, and laos been considering the oem upgrade as well.

The wiring on mine is a bit puzzling as there is also sockets with no lights down low , the really tiny ones and then some other mini led type lights in between the lights.

have yet to activate the angel eyes , but doing that this weekend.

Cheer

The angel eyes have bulbs already built in. The two silly small lights in the middle are just a gimmic... they were advertised as "LED down pointers"

Thanks for the info, you really do sometimes feel very alone when doing mods.

Cheers
