camber ?

hey guys well my car was lowered quite a bit, (im going to change the suspension the the H&r cup kit in a little bit...) but anyways my question is how/how much should ifix my rear camber, its pretty negative and is eating my rear tires!!! my tires are expected to last about 5000 miles each because of the camber... i called les schwab and they want 500$ or so to fix it.. which seems pretty steep, and even then they said they dont deal with my car alot and probably wouldnt recommend for me take it there... which i found funny... anyways my other question i have another set of tires thati can put on my car to take the abuse of the camber.... in that time i could buy my cup kit, do you think putting the cup kit on my car will make my camber in the rear go back a little bit.... how much camber do you have? Have you had it aligned? How much toe? The car is adjustable in stock form.

its bad enough to the point where my tires are starting to wear away pretty fast? my car was lowered around 2 inches so it flared out the tires pretty bad. (-)

thats fine, but you didn't answer any of my questions. Incorrect toe is a bigger killer of tires than camber.

okay i havent had it aligned, and i dont know how much negative camber or toe? how can i tell?

put the car on an alignment rack.

agreed...shouldnt be required...but if you take your car out on the track you may want to get some adjustable camber/caster pads from bavauto (not sure who else carries although i'm sure someone does)....most bimmers have a camber of around -3 degrees for a little bit more traction and performance...the adjustable camber pads allow you to set it negatively for track (or if you can spend the money gettin new tires for the performance) and then back to 0 for daily...pretty cool upgrade in my opinion :-p

nice well i guess ill just take it to schwab and have them throw it on the alignment rack, if that doesnt work i will just buy the camber arms from turner motor sports

You should be fine with an alignment. Just know what specs to run and you should get decent tire wear. I get many times your tire life on my tires with -2* and 0.20* total toe.
