Rear susp problem

1993 325i
Today when I was driving all the sudden when I would shift gears the car would jerk, when I gave it gas I could feel it hit hard on the right side. Just wondering what you think it is, I think it is my strut.

May be strut mounts, does it do it when hitting bumps.

Try asking your mechanic to look at the something called donut, it's the rubber thning that connect engine and drive shaft, it should have vibrated before, and now it's probably somewhat destroyed. I had the smae happen to mine.

I found what it is, where the lower control arms from either side connect to the differential a mount comes off. The mount seems to be completley gone and there is a saftey bump-stop that sticks out, thats where the hitting noise was coming from, it seems that the frame in that location is toast might be a lost cause to try and fix it.
