| S & H... quite the bitch of an extra payment... but I've found that if you negotiate shipping charges, the sender usually will reduce em becuase they know they are ripping you off in the first place. Some dude off ebay wanted 20 bucks to ship a 50 dollar shift knob. I emailed him that i would pay 5 bucks shipping and he said ok... the package gets to my house and the shipping price is on the invoice... $2.34 next time speak up a lil ![]()

| Okay.... well sorry for bitching about shipping guys.... but MD318is basically covered exactly what I was trying to say. I'm not going to NOT buy something because of the S&H charges, but sometimes I think we all know they are a little superfluous.... Hell, just the other day I ordered a tie online from saks.com.... Of course I'm still going to buy it, but they charged be $10.95 to ship a tie!! |

| The way I look at it is if the dhop labor rate is $85/hr and it takes 15 mins to find the chip, burn it, box and write the ups lables, and fill out the book...that's $21.25 of somebodys time... just another way to look at something...

| its worth it in the end I ordered the aa chip for my 92 325i and had it for many months before i got off my ass to put it in. wow, what a bitch it is. I couldnt get the damn boards apart and as soon as i started breaking clips and shit i stoped. I shipped my ecu and chip to aa and they instaled it for free. i just had to pay the shipping cost which was some cash because of the ecu, but it was worth it in the end. |

| A couple of things. Is it the correct chip for that ECU? Did you install it in the correct orientation? Line up the notches on the chip and the socket. Is the chip fully seated? Did yo ground yourself b4 touching the chip? A static discharge can kill IC chips. What exactly did you do to the chip? Are all the pins in the holes? Did you bend any? That's a start.

| I put in my Active chip to see if it would work and it didn't make a differance or I mean it didnt start, so i put in my stock chip and it wouldnt start also? Yet Before it ran like a wet dream! Could I have fried my DME and no I didnt ground myself and didnt disconnect the Battery! I did the same process to my friends 95 auto M3 and it still started but for some reason mine wont! |
