| E30 Carbon Fiber hoods For Sale DTM POWER Members We have E30 hoods in Carbon fiber ( vacuum bagged ) 3 x ply carbon , Direct replacement to stock hood,designed to work with all factory hinges and latches. These are made here in Ca exclusively for us. The hoods weigh 12-14 lbs and are complete with inner structure and bonded like the factory hoods to ensure no warpage from heat and age . | Mike, this is the hood i used to have.. from GMG. They were very nice, though honestly there was the ever so slightly curve to it.. like where it runs along the fender it had just a little more contour than the stock one. And the thread inserts were aluminum when they should have been stainless steel or brass.. |

| Cf hoods The issues with the early hoods have been all resolved. The early hoods were a wet lay up and then new hoods are Vacuum bagged and have steel inserts for the screws where needed. | The race shop is located in the City of Orange , In Orange County near the anahiem pond and Angels stadium. Shipping a hood via truck freight usually runs about 120.00 this what the freight company charges us.( This is based on the size of the box that the hood is packaged in .) If you have a cheaper alternative to get the hood to you, like your own shipping company you may arrange to have it picked up at our location. | Eric, sorry that have you seem to be unhappy with the delivery rates on your hood when it was shipped. However as stated earlier the rates are charged to us from the freight company. I dont know if you purchased a hood from us and it took long to deliver or wasnt made to your satisfaction. If thats the case I apologize on behalf of GMG. I can assure that this is no longer the case. All hoods are now manufactured using vacuum bagging technique and not a hand lay up as early hoods were. Also keep in mind that our parts our made for use in motorsports. Although we try and get them as close as possible to perfect chances are they may have slight imperfections. (This is just the nature of the beast when dealing with these kind of products regardless of what manufacturer they are purchased from.)
