AND, you can fit a 225/50 tire on the stock M3 rims and it looks totally badass!

Hmm, interesting! I wonder if that'll fit under non-M3 fenders...

Yes, a 225/50-15 WILL fit under non-M E30 fenders, i personally ran this tire size all the time on my old 325 with Eibach Prokit springs, no rubbage AT ALL.

I have 225 50 Yokohama AVS-I's on all four coners. This is the best size for an e30 M3 running stock wheels IMHO. I also have Eibach Road Race springs with Bilstein Sports. There is NO rubbing what so ever, even at full lock. Too bad they stopped producing the AVS-I's.....

I am supporting M3Pilot's comment

In europe, some M3's, like the EVOII, Sport EVO, and Im not sure about the other editions, came with 16" wheels

These 16" wheels had 225/45/16's on them, so he is not messing with you. That is factory, and he is from the UK I believe, meaning this could very well be what he has right out of the factory.

Not trying to be a prick, just telling you that he was right too

Thanks for the support
The late spec ones like mine came with 16" as well what you listed and a couple of the other special editions.
