Changing E30 M3 bolt pattern to 5x130mm

all right, point taken, but I'm not interested in those size wheels, I like wide better than big rims. I don't think there's anythin g goofy about 15x11's but if I have to use a ridiculous spacer which will make the wheel fit more like a 15x14 or so, then it would be goofy and impractical, and just stupid.

What sized tire would you put on a 15x11" rim? How would you ever get it to fit in an e30?

You would have to butcher it to death, but if it suites you then do it!!! It will def. take heavy modification, what motor and hp are you running? is that why you want 11s?

yeah man either you gotta have alot of power to require such a wide wheel or its just overkill, ive ridden with several m cars on the track and most of them run stock wheel size with a good set of slicks, or even competition radials and grip is definitely not an issue for them, i have the bruised ribs to prove it. but if you really want the extra grip im pretty sure you can run wheels as wide as 10's without having clearance issues. but the cars needing 10s are usually not road going cars

I have thought about it more and I think that 16x8 BBS all the way around with 225's on the front and 245's on the rear would be sufficient. I don't think I could ever get the 15x11's to fit and my car would be slow. I just found a good deal on them and was wondering. Oh and the wheel size for the 15x11's is 285/45/15 and they are expensive unless you get S rated tires for a truck which would do nothing. It wasn't a very good idea, 16x8's are better.
