might not have started life as an M. maybe had the arches and engine swapped?

but it has the genuine c-pillars and trunk lid. it would have been cheaper to just buy an m for the cost of fully coverting one over.

Well i doubt it mattered, if they even paid for the full cost of the conversion. Its pretty decent.

The rear bumper is also NOT original, since the exhuaast cut-out is in the middle, not on the driver's side. There's lots of other fiberglass or CF parts on that car (hood, trunk, front valence, etc), so maybe it is just something they picked up, sorta worked.

But it almost looks as if the tails might be right, just altered to LOOK like the newer ones. Oh well....

Yes I totally agree, the earlier rear lights always reminded me of an '80s commodore rear.

the early tails look way better. The newer look too puffy, and sortof dont fit the boxy look..idk. Thats one screwed up front bumper too.
