| ... How would i know if my valves are in good condition. Doesnt synthetic help quiet valves... and all that other stuff. I have an eta, i cant even hit high rpms. |

| Valvoline 20w 50 would be perfect for your car and location. I am in SoCal and that's what I run in my car. Valvoline rocks. I have heard once you put synthetic in you shouldn't switch back to regular motor oil, but I can't confirm this.

| I know that in a hot enviroment like Southern California, people find 20-50 to be perfect for the M20. I use 15-40, only because thats what the shop I take the car to has. I was told not to use synethetic oil because at higher RPMs, the oil would leak right past the seals.

| I ran synthetic once and I didnt notice any difference in the car. I did have some leakage though so I whent back to vavoline 10-40 conventional. From what Ive heard running synthetic in cars like ours is just a waste of money. |
