What's different about the e30 m3 suspension setup from the regular e30 besides the alluminum control arms. And are those parts interchangeable?

Not all E30 M3's have aluminum control arms. They were used on the later cars only. E30 M3's have 5 lug hubs and bigger brakes. The front struts are also 2 pc which makes them easier to work on than that standard E30 front struts. The front swaybar attaches to the strut housings on the M3 struts instead of to the control arms. Of course the springs and swaybars are different for a slightly lower/stiffer ride. Yes you can swap the entire thing over to a standard E30.
