| its just kind of a waste to take a m3 with the ledgendary s14 and put and s50 in it

| not if you use an M3 with a salvage title!I found two that are running great, straight and true for like less than 7000 cash each. One has been completely restored by a BMW tech that bought it off a customer that wrecked it.All work done at BMW Center. Now if I can only talk the cash price a bit lower....since no bank will even think about financing a salvage car. The money a well tuned s14 fetches will pay at least half of an s50 conversion. |

| well i am going to sell the s14 so it really doesn't matter to me.but remember i am still thinking about doing it not too sure oh and nick i cant find that damn camera sry ![]()

but that kind of conversion goes against the original intent of the car- which was to maximise the power available without compromising handling- and bmw succeeded well enough with that intent that i think it's almost an affront to make it nose-heavy by dumping a six in. i don't care if it's purism. if you want more power than you can get from an s14 with a stroker kit, then go forced-induction- if you want a six-cylinder m3, get an e36- 99.9% of people won't be able to use that much power in such a light car anyway, especially on the street.
