Anyone ever put a E36 M3 engine into an E30

I was wondering if anyone has ever done this. I think it would be a cool swap but is it possible or even worth the money?

A few people from rochester have. One guy in particular put an e36 m3 engine in his e30 325 then turbo'd it.

Actually its a fairly common swap. The McHenry shop pioneered it years ago, talk to Alex Mc, John Mc, or Stu Mc on this board for more info.

Its a very good swap, the performance of the newer motors basically stomps the e30 motors..

that car needs some appearance upgrades why do five lug and run those wheels....for the 1500 he spent doing the swap, he could have some nice wheels on there...maybe its not his style....its a sleeper though

Hell yeah its got some bags on it! I was thinking of putting some 26 spinners on it that weigh about 80 pounds each. Also, I was gonna fabricate the wing off of a Cessna to fit the rear deck lid. Then to finish it off I was gonna weld a coffee can to the exhaust pipe...HOT!!
