CDOC/DAS Sport CF E30 M3 bodywork update w/ pics

CDOC sent me some pictures today of the finished mold for the front bumper (which will also have a LTW-style CF spitter) and my CF copy is setting up as we speak! The bumper is basically the E46-M3 style opening flipped upside down with the brake ducts angled to match. About an inch has been added to the lower section except for the center raise area of course. Parking lights and indention are also gone.. very clean.

The hood shown is installed and is a final product with gel coat. It will be available with or without vents. It is extremely light and very rigid.

Nice shot of the wheels as well.. 18x8.5 13mm offset (E34 5-series fitment) with 235/35-18 Michelin Pilots all around.

More to come.. mirrors, splitter, rear bumper/diffuser, decklid, and ptg Evo wing.

The rollbar is also pictures, which was previously completed..

Bumper mold..

Alex,

Is that mesh underneath the slits in your hood? Purpose = engine cooling?

Yeah the venting has mesh below.. and it is for exhausting engine bay heat. As mentioned, it is available non-vented as well.

Weight on the hood is 10lbs or a tick more..

The chassis hanging from the showroom ceiling is an E46 factory race unibody. CDOC has two of them And the green fender to your right on the one pic is their 996 Ruf RGT

I had a feeling the body was one of the BMW factory E46 bodies...but the Ruf...first off, that green (from this angle) looks like it'd be MEAN secondly...

I think you could take 'em

that was indeed Alex with the Hamanns and CF stuff...

Nice to see someone from MaxBimmer over here. I've always loved your AV3 front windsor. Any major problems fitting it to the car?

Yep, PG2's actually (PG3's are only 19"+) but yeah that was fun. I miss them.. such pretty wheels.

If income permits in the spring i'd love to try to get some gunmetal center HRE 445R's or the new Fikse Profil 5's. We'll see.. the RK's are gorgeous for now.

Yeah nice, that's the first time I've seen the RKs. You know our cars don't look too bad without the wing.
