| E30 CF part heaven! To those still interested in a CF hood for their E30, a shop called "CDOC" in Charlottesville, VA is currently constructing superlight CF E30 hoods that will be available this fall. The E36 hood that they've already completed is sub-10lbs and still retains a skeletal frame in order to retain rigidity. An extremely high-quality piece. In addition, I've seen the bumper they built for their Rug R-GT track car and holy bejesus was it light and extremely slick looking. In addition to the hood, the decklid, non-Evo wing, front bumper (with enlarged cut-outs), rear bumper, LTW splitter, diffuser, and possibly sunroof and mirrors will also be available in CF. My car is presently at CDOC's facility as a donor car for the molding of these parts, it will be done in August and detailed pictures will be available at that time! | Yeah man, if you're in the area you should definitely swing by CDOC, their shop is badass. The owners are so cool and talented.. Chris, the wife of the owner has a Ruf R-GT track car! She was PCA driver of the year in '02 and raced factory 996 GT3RS's.. Colin, the owner has a built 2.8L 951T track car and was PCA driver of the year in '99. Colin has built over a dozen amazing 964/993/951/996 track cars with some of the sickest body work i've ever seen. The showroom has an E46 factory motorsport chassis hanging from the ceiling! Anyway, worth checking out if you're in the Charlottesville area..  I can't wait to get my car back!!! |

| this sounds pretty insane, theres a guy in hickory, nc that is a produces cf parts for renntech, dinan, panoz, etc. he made parts for the US bobsled team or whatever...also pretty talented...

| Cool.. there are hundreds of talented CF fabricators out there, CDOC just happens to be one of them and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to exploit the oppurtunity. *shrug* |
