What are the most badass unstreetable swaybars for E30s and E30 M3s?

A nonstreetable sway bar?? (yeah right!)
Is there such a thing?? (doubtful)
The most bad-ass (largest) sway bar kit that I know of you can get through Ireland engineering. Remember, you don't always want the largest sways available.

That award would have to go to Ireland Engineering's 25mm front and 22mm rear adjustable sway bars.

the ST bars are the cheapest, and most ineffective of all E30 sway bars..

The Ireland bars are not only 25mm front/22mm rear, but they front bar is HOLLOW, so it's MUCH LIGHTER. it is also 4-position adjustable, the rear is 3 position.. also it comes with beast mounting pieces, and massive billet reinforcement blocks for the rear chassis mount. can't beat em.

the Suspension Tech bars are 22/19 the front is 2 position, rear is non-adjusatble.. they get the job done, but offer very little for tuning.

Alex?? Ireland bars are 3 way adjustable in the front and the rear is slider adjustable. ST bars are the most popular simply because they are cheap and have the 19mm rear bar opposed to 16mm. The front is non-adjustable and the rear is 2 way adjustable which (like you said) offers very little adjustability but they do work well for the street/track car.

suspension techniques are great for the money but you must reinforce the suckers..or any swaybar for that matter..the rear tabs on the rear subframe mount is doo-doo simply doo-doo ..a terrible design from BMW and it will go bye bye if you dont take care of it. I have never heard of oreland design but i am intersted in the rear mount for the subframe..do they have a good reinforcement for it?.. Alex please give me dome more info on this.. or whoever else knows about em

PS im fairly certain that the ST bar is hollow as well..not 100% though

Thanks for the correction on the Ireland adjustability.. what i stated were the specs my brother told me, sorry! Anyway, like i was saying- they're the best.

I had ST bars on my M3, and have since sold them.. I didn't think they were that great. On my last E30 i had the Racing Dynamics bars, which were awesome! unforunately they are NLA.

Yes, the ST bars are cheap, but for $100 more you'd be a fool not to get the irelan bars.

...trailing arm or whatever... the lower mounts with the tabs .. im sure you know what im talking about.. the ones that bend severely and are not reinforced in any way. turner makes some for the rear but those are the uppers and thats not what im talking about.

Thanks alot guys. I was hoping to pull some wierd brands out of the woodwork. Thanks Alex. I guess the Irelands are for me as I thought. If anyone finds any others let me know. Suspension Tech. is too wimpy for me. M3 and regular E30s the only difference is the endlinks in the front right? Any other differences? I need new exhaust to clear the front sway though, damn!!

Alex~ Whats happening. Im at gateway, on the laptop. anyway, no i said the ST rear bar is 2-way adjustable. the front is fixed. the dinan bars are garbage, 16mm rear is horrible, not much larger than stock; you need something to help the rear end come around.

OK here is all the info you need

ST - 22mm front/19mm 2-way adj. rear - comes with front subframe and rear trialing arm reinforcements and adjustable rear sway bar links, you can get them for $220 from shox.com

IE - 25mm hollow front 3-way adj./22mm slider adjustable rear - comes with front/rear subframe and rear trialing arm reinforcements and adjustable front/rear sway bar links, you can get them for $425 from shox.com

for $425 you get everything with the IE set but it is NOT very streetable.

for $220 + $95 for IE rear subframe rein. + $55 for front adj. links, which is everything you need for a streetable setup, but you dont really need the links or reinforcements.

I have the ST sway bars and IE rear mounts, still in box if someone wants to make a offer email me.
