Talking Help with lowering my E30

Alright guys I drive a 1986 325e 4door e30. I have 17x7.0 rims with 40 rubber. The ride hight is really high and I really wanna lower the car soon. I would like to lower it 1.5-20 inches because i will have a low profile body kit on it soon. Any ideas and prices on how much lowering springs will cost without buying new shocks. Ill appreciate all imput, thanks

$200+ for the springs. Don't forget installation costs if you take it to a shop. A quote I got put labor at around $400 for the whole job.

Ground Control coil-over kit lowers down to 2.5 front and 2.25 rear. theyre 400.00 (spring and sleeves.) will work with stock shocks. I had mine installed for 150.00 (and thats with a hookup price), I dont have an enclosed garage and the weather sucked! Apex spring lower pretty nicely if you dont want to spend over 400.00. It looks good on my buddys 86 325ie. happy hunting!

Most Springs will cost around $200-400 for race style springs.

If you are going to do it, you should replace the shocks and shock mounts while you are in there. Or else you will pay for it twice!

Now if you are low on $$ and want a good ride like stock this will lower the car and save the wallet
Bav Auto Springs $200
Boge Turbo Gas M3 shocks $200-300
Shock mounts $50 for rear
Front Shock $120

You really should get some short shocks if you get this setup! I have it on my E30 M3 and it can go LOW, plus, it is REALLY STIFF. THEY ARE RACE SPRINGS, not road progressive springs.

I got the whole kit from them, it was $1350 dilivered.

Dam! What shocks are yougetting for $500?? I got my Bilsteins Sports for $360 and I paid $400 for my new adjustable Koni's.

You can use stock shocks, but I would not do it! Once you see the GC system you will understand! My Koni's are 2in shorter then my SHORT Bilstein Sports. So you are looking at 4in shorter shocks! If you keep the stoc ones you will be resting on the bump stops!

Keep the H&R and get some Bilstien Sports, the ride is GREAT and it looks so much better then stock!

You just missed out, I sold my less then 1yo H&R Bilstein combo for $400. It even comes with mounts....

Didn't take any pics, but they are just 60mm race springs, with threaded collar.

You adjust them but screwing them up and down, there is a alen key that locks it in place.

Just installed mine today, you have NO idea how much better it is then stock! man the car is on RAILS!!!!

How do you want your car to ride? If you don't care then yea $400 covers it. But you really shoudl get new short shocks and camber plates and rear shock tower moutns!

I got EVERYTHING, they have and it was $1350 dilivered! That is $300 less then the H&R coil overs.
