| Electrical Issues I have a 86 325es and I am having trouble with the stock radio not locking onto a station. The speakers play bits and pieces of the radio station but the radio never can keep a consistent signal. I have had the radio lock onto a station but when I started to move again it returned to the searching phase. I also have a problem with the rear defogger switch not illuminating. It originally lit up but the button had a sticking problem so I switched it out. Would the color of the switch make any difference. I had originally had a orange back light and now have a green back light. Everything else works well On a side note would swapping out the non-illuminating with illuminating switches make them illuminate because I tried but didn't have any success. The illuminating switches do still roll the window down and up. |

| some switches lit up and some didn't. they should all light up when pushed, but some had a dimmer light with the running lights on as opposed to when switched on. the window switches depends on how your car is wired i suppose. i thought they would all light up with the key on if they were illuminated switches. thats strange there. my '85 318 lights switches up...and the bmw radios can be very iffy, sometimes they work sometimes they don't. i had one that wouldn't pick up anything, and another that picked up stations i didn't know existed.
